Miss Teagan. Sigh. This girl is beautiful. Teagan is the gorgeous 2nd daughter of Ashytn and Derek. Derek is my cousin. We grew up together. I consider him a little brother of mine. Ashtyn is his beautiful wife who he wooed just a few short years ago. We laugh because both of our kids will be very close in age. Caeden is 10 months older than their oldest daughter Jade and Teagan will be around 7 months older than this little peanut I’m growing inside me. Needless to say – we planned this pretty good!!!
For Christmas, I drew Ashtyn’s name. I was so excited because I knew exactly what I wanted to do for her. A photo session. I gave her the option of maternity photos or a newborn session and I’m secretly glad they picked the newborn session!!! Any excuse to take photos of a gorgeous little girl right?
So without anymore chatter – I introduce Teagan. One of the sweetest babies E.V.E.R.

I secretly hope my little munchkin is as tiny as her! She was so much fun to move around – and she slept and slept while I moved her around!

Well hello bright eyes!!!

The next two photos are probably my favorite. Jade adores her little sister. She was so excited to help hold her and love on her. And she just explored her the whole time. It was super sweet!

And last but not least – my last 3 favorite photos.

Thank you again Derek and Ashtyn for allowing me to capture your adorable family! Teagan is just the sweetest and Jade of course is my little buddy! You guys have a beautiful family and I cannot wait until August so Teagan can have someone to play with just like Jade has Caeden!
Love you guys!
My good friends Renee & Jamie are truly amazing. They have a new addition to their awesome family. Her name is Kaelinn. Say hello!

Kaelinn is a total sweetheart and the little sister to Kayleigh and Kylee and little sister by God’s awesome plan to Betty, Connor, Christian and Calvin. Like I said – Renee and Jamie totally rock!!! So without further adue – I welcome to the world Miss Kaelinn.

And of course – we couldn’t do a photo shoot without including the 3 cuties that just celebrated their 2nd and 1st birthdays!! Happy 2nd birthday Kayleigh and Betty and Happy 1st Birthday Miss Kylee!!!!

Thank you Renee and Jamie for allowing me in your home to capture your cuties! You guys are truly a gift from God. These 4 girls are the luckiest in the world to have you as parents!
On the 26th of December, I had the pleasure of meeting up with the Torres Family. Wende’s brother was in from the East Coast and it’s been a long time since they have done a large family photo! They were so much fun!!!

Four Generations. I love this photo.

A dad and his boys…

The family!!!

Probably two sweetest of the day.

The next two photos are probably one of my favorites. It’s all the cousins together. Let’s start with the “formal” one.

Then I got this crazy idea….

Thank you Torres family for welcoming me into your home to capture the love of your family!!! You guys are great!!!

On December 5, 2009 – Jeni of jenifriend Photography (check out her new website!!) and myself met up at St. Mary’s University to capture Chris & Alicia’s big day. We were so excited because this was our first December wedding! Too bad the snow waited until Christmas Eve to show up! Here are some of the rockin’ moments captured on their very special day!!
Getting Ready….

The beautiful Bride….

The AMAZING shot Jeni captured….

The Dapper Groom – captured by Jeni!!

The groomsmen were hilarious. Two of his groomsmen were his brothers (oldest and youngest) and his best man was his good lookin’ father. See why Jeni had so much fun? They called her #2. LOL!

But really – these guys were so good lookin’!

Jeni and I found little nooks to take the bridal party for pictures because did I mention the wind?! Oh my goodness!!!

Chris and Alicia are expecting a little one! To share the sex with their families – they opened a gift – this was so cute!!

It’s a boy!!! I love this capture thanks to miss Jeni!!!

Some of my favorite shots during the ceremony…..

Um hello Jeni?! Can we say GORGEOUS?!

Some of my favorite details shots on the rings thanks to Miss Jeni!!!

Some of my favorite from the reception….

And probably the best photo to end the night. Caught by Jeni – A bride having a blast at her wedding reception!!!

Thank you again Chris and Alicia!!! It was an honor and so much fun to be apart of your special day! We wish you all the luck and happiness in this 2010 year!

Here’s to a great 1st year of photography and many more to come in 2010!!! Thanks everyone for all your support!!! I can’t wait for 2010!!
Where do I begin? First off – thank you again from the bottom of my heart for your awesome support for my first official year as a professional photographer. I seriously couldn’t have done it without you all! Big kisses and squeezing hugs!
Secondly…I have updated my Availablity and Pricing Guide to reflect my new packages and pricing for 2010! Please contact me to set up your potrait/wedding appointment today! Dates will go fast!
Thirdly…I am no longer going to school! So I’ll have a smidge of free time! YAY! Along with the 3rd note – I will be closing down my personal blog. I just don’t have time to keep it up. I will however be adding photos and what not from my personal side over here just so you can get to know the girl behind the Nikon D200!
Now for the big news. But I’ll let the picture do the talking!!!

Yes…You read that correctly! This photographer is having another baby!!! And actually – my son? He’s excited – he just didn’t want to take the photo (which was taken by the lovely Ben Murphy of BPM Photography – steller I tell ya). HA!
Which leads me to my last change. The last 2 weeks of July, the entire month of August and the first 2 weeks of September – I will be unavailable for portraits or weddings. Whatever is booked now in August is a go – but anyone else needing sessions will be referred to other photographers! YAY for Murphy kids photos!
…Of the Year!
I want to extend a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year to everyone! Thank you for all your support. It was a great 2009 year for Kristen Murphy Photography! All your support is greatly appreciated! 2010 is going to be even better!
My wish for you is that you get what you want for Christmas, remember the reason for Christmas and you celebrate with loved ones. Love you all.
I met the L Family at Ft. Leavenworth on November 1st. It was a gorgeous fall day on a gorgeous base. I had the pleasure and honor of capturing the L Family for their dad who is currently stationed overseas. Their dad received his album so I’m going to share the session! Please enjoy!

Back in October I was up in St. Joe for an engagement session with Larissa & Tommy. Prior to their session, Tommy’s little brother needed his senior photos taken! So here’s Aaron:

Aaron was a total sweetheart and would basically do and pose wherever I told him to pose. He was a such a good sport!!! By the end of the session he came up with great poses and new spots to take photos! It was hard narrowing down his photos!

Did I tell you that Aaron really new how to work the camera? Total natural….

Swoon…This kid has some gorgeous blue eyes!!!

This is Aaron’s special outfit from his girlfriend (Sorry girls!!) – I think she did a darn good job picking it out!!!

Seriously?!

Thanks Aaron for being a good sport and great for the camera! I had a blast and you were great!!! To check out more of Aaron’s session – click on the slide show HERE!!
Remember this little cutie?! Well she’s already 6 months old!!! Time really flies when you’re having fun! I had the pleasure of capturing this little cutie again. I hope you enjoy!!

With Daddy!

After torturing Miss Kate with photos in her Christmas clothes, her cousins came over for a group photo! They are so cute!

Thank you Jeff and Carrie for allowing me to take photos of your little cutie! She’s getting so big!!!
